EQUALS USA is a coalition of organizations working together in the movement to empower women and girls. The partners of EQUALS USA hope to bring greater awareness to the mainstream about important issues affecting women worldwide – including fighting poverty, hunger and disease; improving maternal health; ending violence against women; promoting girls’ education; and expanding economic opportunity for women everywhere.

In world where women account for 70% of the earth’s poorest people, International Women’s Day is a time to re-invigorate public demand for a more equal world, one in which girls and women have access to education and employment, as well as the chance to live healthy lives free from violence and oppression. During March (Women’s History Month), women across the USA will gather to make their voices heard – in private homes and in public spaces, online and in communities around the country.
